#ThisIsChristmas Day3

Uh oh... we're only on day 3, and I'm already missing days!  College is to blame this time, not myself!

We're back again for day 3 of the #ThisIsChristmas challenge! Today is my 'Favourite Christmassy treat (food or drink!)'.

I can answer this straight off the bat when it comes to my favourite drink; it's a mint white hot chocolate! Yes it is amazing, so delicious, but it looks super funky too - it's green! I got one only yesterday, so here's a cute little picture of that!

Guys, I 100% recommend you try this, it is without a doubt my favourite hot chocolate ever, and that's saying a lot because I love hot chocolate!

Now, when it comes to my favourite Christmas treat, everything gets that little bit harder; I personally don't like mince pies, or Christmas cake, or pudding; I do love myself a good gingerbread person though, that's for sure. They are just so adorable, and let's be honest here, ginger is quite a Christmassy, and warming flavour and scent!

#ThisIsChristmas Day 2

Hey y'all, I'm back again for day 2 of #ThisIsChristmas (Here's day 1)

Today is our 'Favourite Christmassy lips and nails colour combination'!  I'm quite excited for this, because I've really gotten into lipsticks and nail polishes this year, and my collection is slowly but surely growing!

I'm about to be the same as almost everyone else right now, and say that my absolute favourite shades for Christmas, are deep red/purple berry shades!

I adore Rimmel products, because I've always found them to be of a really high standard while still having a drug store price; perfect for students like myself! But, they also have an amazing range of shades to choose from.

My two picks for todays post are the Rimmel 'Lasting Finish Lip Stick' in the shade 128 - Starry-eyed,  and the Rimmel 'I Love Lasting Finish' nail polish in Black Cherries. They are both really beautiful deep shades of red/purple, and I can not wait to wear them again!

#ThisIsChristmas Day 1

Hey guys, I decide to do a blogging challenge for the month of December; it was created by Áine (thisisaine.com), and is super cute! So, have day one of the #ThisIsChristmas tag, challenge, thing.

Day 1 is the 'Things That Remind You Of Christmas' post! I for one have always been a huge fan of Christmas candle scents! I know i's a very stereotypical thing, but there are certain smells that always remind me of Christmas time.

I absolutely adore candles that smell of spices, and have a warm, homely scent. My current favourites are very similar to Yankee Candle, in smells, and style, but re a lot cheaper!  I get them in Heatons, and they are absolutely delightful.

This is the one I'm burning at the moment, just to get myself in the real Christmas mood now that we're in December - 'Mulled Wine'

*Source

Thanks for reading this little short post! Can' wait until tomorrow now; I'm leaving the challenge dates down below if anyone wants to join! There's also an instagram version if you don't blog, so I'll put that in to!

The TMI Tag

So I feel like it's time I let y'all know a little bit more about me, and I suppose the only way to do that is by doing a TMI tag!
Now there's quite a few different TMI tags, so I've picked a few from everywhere, and away we gooo...

  1. What are you wearing? Fluffy Christmas pyjamas, because I'm  at home at the moment!
  2. How tall are you? I am 5'11.
  3. Any tattoos? I don't have any tattoos no, but I do have quite a few ideas that I'd love to get done soon.
  4. Any piercings? I have 4 piercings, but they're all in my ears!
  5. Favourite show? I love Dance Moms, but, I also love CSI, Bones and Criminal Minds! Oooh and house design/ home decor shows!
  6. Favourite bands? You Me At Six are definitely one of my favourites... but I also love Paramore, 1D, All Time Low, Miley Cyrus, and many more...
  7. Something you miss? I miss all the people I haven't seen since I left school, and college!
  8. Favourite song? At the moment, I'm loving 'Rather Be' by Clean Bandit feat. Jessie Glynn (Clicky click)
  9. How old are you? I am 19
  10. Zodiac sign? Aquarius
  11. Favourite Quote? If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you.”  - A. A. Milne, Winnie The Pooh.
  12.  Favourite colour? Right now, I am quite obsessed with the mint/aqua green colour.
  13. Loud music or soft? I used to listen to my music as loud as I possibly could, but since going to college, I've learned how truly bad it can be for you; so a little it softer please!
  14. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? If I have all the time in the world to get ready, then I could easily spend an hour, if not two, getting ready for the day! But unfortunately, I like my bed way too much, and most of the time I only have 15/20 minutes!
  15. The reason I joined Youtube/Blogger?  I joined YouTube because I adored watching videos that had so much passion and love put into them, and it's something I've wanted to do ever since (I haven't yet... but I'll get there eventually!).                                                                                                                                                                                       I joined Blogger, again because I read many blogs which I found so interesting and passionate, and fell in love with the idea of being able to put my own little bits out there!
  16. Meaning behind your YouTube/Blogger Name? My YouTube name is simply just my name, and my Blogger name (BeautyBehindLife), is all about exploring the beauty behind life, quite literal if I'm honest; but I wanted to incorporate the idea that I'd write both beauty and life posts!
  17. The book you’re currently reading? I'm currently obsessed with a site called Wattpad, so I'm reading quite a few books on there. My current one is called 'Kiss Cam', and it's actually quite good.
  18. Place you want to visit? America, so so much of it.
  19. Favourite flavour of sweet? I love mint humbugs (?) I think that's what they're called anyway!
  20. What instruments do you play? I actually don't play many instrument! I can play the ukulele, and dabble in the piano and guitar, but I'm not very good! I am a singer though, and I will admit that I'm not too bad.
So I hope y'all feel like you know a little bit more about me, and feel free to ask questions down below! Thank y'all for coming to read this post!

I Bought Everything! (Haul Post)

I've been on a few trips to Boots in Liffey Valley over the last week - just to look obviously! But, of course I couldn't resist the deals they had, and left with half the shop, as per usual!

Here's all the little bits I picked up; some of these are things I've been looking for for a while, and others were just spur of the moment decisions!

So, 'Collection' had a 3 for 2 offer on in boots last week, so I could not resist!
I picked up the 'Lasting Perfection' Concealer, I've bought it befoe, and I really like it; I find it blends really well with my skintone! I use the shade 'Fair 1' - the lightest shade! Plus it's only €

I then picked up the 'Lasting Gel Nail Colour' in 'Stormy Grey 11' just to see how t would live up to the Barry M one. Now, it's not grey in any way, t's definitely a nude/brown shade, but it is beautiful.
You will need two coats of it, if you want it to really shine though - but it's definitely worth the €3.99

Finally, I grabbed their 'Work The Colour Eyebrow Kit'! It has thee different powders for filling in your brows, and a clear brow gel! Now, I've never used a bow gel before so I'm excited to see how this works, and the powders appear to be quite well pigmented, so I'm excited to try them!
All for only €

Boots had a 3 for 2 on all cosmetics deal going on, so I picked up these two beauties, as well as a brush which you'll see soon!

The 'Stay Matte' powder, is a powder I had before, and loved, so I decided to go back to it! The only problem I have with this, is that it's not the best to carry around with you - the last one I had broke within a week!

Then I grabbed this beauty of a foundation I've been looking for since it came out; but for some reason, Boots have been sold out of the ivory colour forever! I'm excited for this, and hope that it lives up to the 25 hour promise they make! I will definitely get back to you with that!

Next up is the Barry M section; now I don't generally buy stuff from Barry M,, but their new nail colours are out, and if you spend more than €9, you got a free mascara! What? Yes please!
I picked up their 'Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint' in '????' and I also grabbed a grey which seems to have disappeared already! They were only €5.99 each, and I hear that they're really good, so I'm looking forward to tying them out!

And, because I spent more than €9, I got their 'Showgirl' mascara (worth €7.49) free! The wand looks surprisingly good, so I can't wait to try it once my current one runs out!

And lastly, I took advantage of the No7 vouchers that Boots give out at the counter!
I picked up the 'Rapid Spot Relief' from No7's 'Beautiful Skin' range; this is one of the first No7 products I've bought, so I decided to try something a little different to what I'd usually try! This is usually €11, but their voucher lets you take €6.50 off the original price, so it only cost me €4.50.

That's almost everything I've picked up lately, but I'll have more posts coming for you soon enough I'm sure! I just can't seem to resist buying everything in my sight!
Let me know if y'all have tried any of these, I'd love to know what y'all think!

Haul Of My Faves

Wait a second, what is this? Two clothes hauls in a row? Wow Emma, you must never leave the shops right? Oh, how I wish that was true!

These first two, are some absolute beauties; yes, they are the same piece of clothing in two different colours, and I am one hundred and twenty-five percent okay with that! I've never really been one to go for really bright, out-there colours, so you can imagine the fear I felt buying the both of these!
But, I have to say, that I am now a firm believer that colour can and will completely change your outfit!

The first one's a yellow ombré shirt, and the second a purple ombré shirt; they're quite long, and reach about mid-thigh! I wear mine with a skater skirt, crop top and pumps!  I bought them in a little boutique in New Ross in Co. Wexford, called 'Town and Country', and they were on sale for €22.49 each... not too bad right?

These are some of my favourite items of clothing, it's not even that they're particularly breathtakingly beautiful; but I have a deep adoration for them and where they come from!
I bought them online, from a youtubers merch website; for some reason I feel like these tops 100% get me!

The two guys are 'Shep689' on YouTube, and they do daily vlogs as well as their own videos on their own channels! I met them this past summer (You can see that post here!), and they are some of the most genuine people I've ever met, and they design pretty beautiful clothing too!

The t-shirt up there is $20, and the tank top is $25; they're both still available right now (but I'm not sure for how much longer)! The website is here!

Sooo, that's all for now folks, I hope y'all enjoyed this, and I'll be back super soon with another post for y'all!

Another Clothes Haul

Heyyyy, so here I am again; with another haul; it probably looks like I buy a lot of things, but I don't really, promise! But here's more clothes I've picked up in the last while, that I'm kind of in love with.

These first two are from New Look; super comfortable too!

The first is a mint coloured, long vest, with quite a deep scooped neck! It's quite a see-through material, so of course you have to be careful what you wear under it!
It only cost me €10 in the Inspire section of New Look, and was definitely worth it! It looks super cute with leggings, a cardigan, a cute scarf, socks and boots during autumn!

The second is a super cute one my Mum picked up for me; she thought it was sweet because I had studied French in college! It's a cropped top, which is just the perfect length to wear over tube skirts, but I find it's a bit too long or skater skirts, unless you want to tuck it in (it'll still look super cute!).
This was really inexpensive at only €6 in New Look's sale, and definitely worth every cent of that!

These next two I picked up in TKMAXX - now I adore this shop, I always find at least one beautiful thing I want to take home with me, but my only problem is that thee never seems to be more than 3 or 4 of the one thing! It of course means I've got a bit of individuality, but it kills me to know that thee isn't much point telling people where I got it, because there's only a tiny chance they'll be able to get it!  But anyway... here's the two beauties I picked up!

The first one here is again a mint colour - I am obsessed and regret absolutely nothing! It's an absolute beauty with a very slight peplum! Now, I'm not one to wear a peplum often, as I feel it just accentuates my problem areas; but damn is this different, it very slightly peplums, and just covers the stomach area in a really flattering way!
Definitely worth the €14 I paid for it!

And last, but definitely not least, is my favourite thing in my wardrobe right now! This absolutely gorgeous Navy Cableknit Sweather is all I need in my life! It's just thin enough to no choke you with heat, but will most definitely keep you warm, and looks absolutely darling with anything you wear it with! For €11 I've never been happier with a purchase!

Those are just the little bits I've picked up in New Look and TKMAXX recently, and writing this makes me sooo excited to go shopping again!
I hope y'all enjoy this, and I'll see you soon! I'm finally back into the swing of college and can't wait to get back writing!

Hair (Accessories) Haul

This title sounds a lot creepier written down than it did in my head... oops! I promise that I have not spent days collecting peoples hair *shudder*. To be fair I should have named it 'Hair Accessories Haul', but sure you win some, you lose some!
I'd just like to say that this is a collective haul, along with the rest of the hauls I'm putting up! I definitely didn't pick it all up in one crazy shopping trip! So I still haven't worked out how to store all of these just yet, so they're still in a lil River Island bag on my desk!

So now, take a look at this fancy little arty shot I made... yeah feast your eyes on this! Isn't she a beauty? Ok I'm done now... sorry!

Ok, you're welcome! Now here's the little bits I bought for my hair over the summer!
(In another fancy collage... I know!)

1. Up first, is my new scrunchies. I'm still  not 100% sure whether or not I'll wear these too often, but I do think they're very cute, and they'll come out every once in a while!
The first is a mint and navy polka dot scrunchie from River Island and was €6, quite steep for a scrunchie. but I couldn't resist it!
The second is a multi-colour almost paint splatter scrunchie. It cost me €3 on sale in New Look - half price, so really it was begging me to buy it!

2. Next up is my new love! I have fallen completely head over heels with bun garlands. I don't know why, but they are so so adorable, and can dress up the simplest outfits!
The white/cream and dark blue/black ones above I bought in Penneys, and are definitely my favourite, as they are completely surrounded by flowers, leaving no gaps! They only cost €2.50.
The mint green one was bought in New Look for €3.99, I think it's beautiful because I love the colour, but I wish it was completely surrounded by flowers.
And the last one - the pink daisies - is the first bun garland I bought; I picked it up in River Island for €6. It's super cute and I love the baby pink colour.

3. Next is my super cute hair bow. It's actually quite big, and has a lovely watermelon print on a black background! It was only €3 in New Look (I think?). It was definitely worth it though, as it makes pulling back your hair a lot cuter than just bobby pins.

4. Lastly are my headbands; I've only recently gotten into these, as I've started to try and wear my hair down more often, so these dress it up a bit.
First is a simple navy/black rose design I got in Penneys for €2.50 - personally my favourite.
The next is a twisted bead design, which actually looks lovely when your hair is in a loose bun. This is from New Look and was only €3.99.
And the last one is a sort of tribal beaded design, I haven't worn this much, but it is simply adorable! It was only €2.99 in New Look as well!

So thoses are all the little hair bits I've gone crazy over recently! I rarely buy any 'cute' hair accessories, as I used to wear my hair pulled back a lot! Now that it's a quite a bit longer, I'm excited to wear all these a bit more!

I hope you enjoyed this, and I'm so happy to be back blogging! Leave a comment if there's anything you want to know!

#BackToCollege Clothing Haul -Penneys

I've just headed back to the good old college life, and I decided it'd be fun to do a little bit of shopping for it! I realised after photographing all my new clothes, that I seem to have bought a thousand tops, and absolutely no bottoms. That is not the case though, they are on the way!

Here's all the little things I bought in Penneys; hope you enjoy all these lil bits!

First up is a plain black ribbed crop top. I'm probably going to wear this under some of the chiffon shirts I have, simply because I find it is just a little bit too short to wear uncovered. I think it'll pair with almost anything because it's so simple and understated.
I got this in Penneys for €1, so I really couldn't say no when I saw it!

The second one up there, is a white chiffon shirt, I absolutely adore the pattern on this shirt; a simple black daisy print all over. I personally find that it's perfect for dressing up a pair of jeans just a little bit, so you don't have to try too hard, but still look like you tried.
This beauty was on sale for only €7 in Penneys.

This little top in the middle, is a beautiful shade of mint green, and the perfect length for a crop top. It's just the right length to be able to tuck into any high-waisted skirt or shorts, but also looks adorable left untucked for a slightly flowier look.
This was again on sale for only €1 in Penneys.

No. 4 up above is a beautiful (although slightly see-through) floral print on the front, and plain white on the back. I love wearing it with a simple black or denim skater skirt; as it's quite a detailed print, it's nice to pair it with something a bit simpler.
This was only €3 in Penneys.

And last, is one of my favourite tops I've bought! It's actually a 'muscle tank', meaning there is almost no sides to the top; now I didn't realise this before I bought it, but it looks super cute with a bandeau or bralette underneath. Also the saying 'I'd rather be in L.A.' - a girl can dream right?

So these are just the little bits I grabbed in Penneys before college, but I have quite a lot of clothes from other shops around Ireland! I'm soo excited to get those out as well, because some of the things are just soo cute!

Hope you enjoyed this, and can't wait for the next one (too much?).

#BackToCollege Folder Haul

This may be a bit of a weird one, I have a slight obsession with buying new stationery for college! But I do it every year, so I have way too many stashed away at home! I'm not the only one who just has to buy every little cute folder I see, right?

Well anyway here's the cutest lil ones I could find this time, and I can not wait to use them now I'm back in college!

Theses two are super sweet! The first is a vertical stripe in black, white and grey, and was just right down my street when I saw it; couldn't resist!  The second is a dark and light blue kinda tribal pattern, and is super adorable. I quite like it actually! I bought both of these in Aldi for only €1.99 - such a steal

Now these two are probably my favourites - but to be honest I say that about all of them! They are both quite a similar patter, just that the second has 4 characters blown up on it. It looks a bit weird on here, but the background is squares, like you would have had in maths copies!
The first is actually a lever arch file, so is that little bit bigger - absolutely perfect for all my college notes!
I bought both of these in Tesco - The big one for €3.50 and the smaller for €2.75.

This one is a cutie I bought in the book station for €1.75 - I got two! It's just a very simple plastic folder with elastic around the corners to keep it closed. The horizontal stripes in different shades of green are so cute! I'm hoping it'll work well to keep in my bag so I don't have to carry the bigger folders to college!

This is the last one I have! It was only 99c in Easons, definitely worth it too! It's simply the cutest cartoon pattern all round; I absolutely adore this old fashioned prints and the womens makeup is to die for!

That's all I've got folder wise for ye! I hope you enjoyed seeing them! And you should definitely go buy some pretty stationery if you haven't done it all ready this summer! Thank you so much for reading this!

The Summer Summaries - Wexford part 2

Yayyy, here's another of my little adventures from Wexford this summer! This one's a bit of a cheat, but I hope y'all enjoy it anyway.
While in Co. Wexford during the summer, my family and I took a short trip across to Dunmore East in Waterford. It's not a long journey, only an hour or so, with a short trip on the ferry. Dunmore East is an absolutely stunning little place along the coast, with the sweetest views.

We weren't there for long, only a few hours; but we had the opportunity to visit some of my family who were there on holiday for a week. Hopefully these pictures do the area of Dunmore East some justice. So here they are:

Thank y'all so much for reading this! Also, I'd just like to say sorry that these posts are quite picture heavy! I hope you don't mind too much though!
Lemme know if there's anything in particular you'd like to see on here!

The Summer Summaries - Wexford Part 1

My family and I have a sort of holiday home  (it's a mobile home), in Co. Wexford! Now while this may seem like a dream location to some, and it can be; it's not great if none of your friends have time to be down! We stay in a little country village in what can feel like the farthest corner from humanity at times! But having said all this, I do absolutely adore the place and cherish the last 16 years of memories there!

Because this was a quiet summer, I spent a lot of it exploring the local gardens and historical sites with my family; and wow were they absolutely beautiful. I found it weird that even though I've been visiting this same area for the last 16 years, I never actually took the initiative to go out and see some of the beauties that were so close!

First up was Tintern Abbey near the Hook Peninsula in Co. Wexford.
I'm sad to say I don't have many photos of this beautiful place (there was an incident with my camera), but I am quite proud of what I did manage to capture! So here they are!

Now don't you worry, there's plenty more Wexford adventures where that came from! I hope y'all enjoyed this, and take you for reading!

The Summer Summaries - #Dublin689

Well I can tell you guys right now, that this is without a doubt, the best experience of my summer. #Dublin689 is something I wish could happen every year, if not more often!

#Dublin689 (have I said it enough yet?), was a YouTube meetup I was at in Dublin on 24th July! It was a meetup for an American couple Will and RJ, who run the channels 'Shep689' (their vlog channel), 'shepsquared' (Will) and 'TheNotAdam' (RJ).

I have to say it was quite unusual seeing someone who you've only ever seen on a screen, in front of you, in the flesh (and yes, they were very real). There was a group of about 50 (maybe) subscribers there on the day to chat to the guys, take some selfies, go for lunch, and then spend the night on the town!

We met at St. Stephen's Green park, and all had our picture taken with the guys before having a lil kiki, talking about the YouTube, life, signing an Irish flag for them, and writing notes in their travel book!

Here's a picture of me with Will and RJ on the day.

We had lunch in Tolteca, on Suffolk Street in Dublin City Centre! Tolteca is seemingly the Irish version of Chipotle; it's a 'Mexican Style Grill' and I have to say their food is quite lovely! I will be going back! This was part 1 finished, and everyone went their seperate ways to get bits ready for part 2 a few hours later!

So part 2 of the day was our 'mad' night out on the town! We decided to explore most of Dublin's well-known gay/gay friendly bars, as well as a few more traditional places! Eventually we stumbled in The George, where we saw part of a drag show (my first)! The night ended around 3am, and honestly, that was too soon!

I'd like to thank the guys (on the off-chance they see this), for coming over and exploring Europe, it was an experience I'll never forget! Please go and check them out, because they deserve an awful lot of love (and have a super cute dog called Dobby)!

Thank y'all for coming along on this lil journey! <3

P.S. Will and RJ give the best hugs ever; especially RJ's drunken goodbye hugs!

I Have Arrived (Again)

So, I realise I've taken quite some time away from this wonderful world of blogging; and I'd like to apologize. I made a post back on the 6th June, explaining how I was finally coming back to the blog after the time I had taken for exams and recovery! Well, as you may have noticed (or not), that didn't happen.
So I'm gonna try this again, no promises of course (commitment issues), but I'm gonna try.

Now, I didn't have a particularly exciting summer, but I've got a little idea to catch y'all up on what I've been up to. I'm gonna do a little mini 'series' called 'The Summer Summaries', and give ya'll a little update on what exciting (hah!) adventures I've been up to for the last three months!

A few days were quiet, and a few were filled with family adventures to beautiful  places, so expect some picture heavy posts! I can't wait to get sharing them!

I also want to thank you (yes, you!), so much for helping me reach such a huge milestone on this (slightly dysfunctional) blog. I've almost hit 500 pageviews on here, which I think is such an amazing achievement; and it has definitely helped me in making the decision to stick to this, because you never know what something could become!

Thank y'all so much.

Look who's back!

Honey, I'm home!

Wow... I've been gone for quite a while! I've missed y'all!

I suppose life got in the way a bit... My college loves to really get in the way and give us a few hundred assignments (ok, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit), as well as exams when it comes to the end of the term (Thanks college)!

But it's all over now, and I've had some (well needed) time to recover, and I honestly can't wait to get back into this!

I've built myself a schedule and I am soo excited to plan loads more posts to get up on here! I have sooo many ideas already! I've made it my aim to do a lot more posts on just my life, as well as reviews, tutorials, ootd's and some tag videos!

I figure there's no better time than summer time to really get back into the swing of things, especially after missing so much! (Hello #BloggersDoDublin (Check out Cat's post on it here, she did an amazing job organising it!)  What?? I am so jealous of all of you who got to go to such an amazing event!)

So hopefully y'all will stumble along this slightly rocky road with me, and seee where we end up!

P.S. Alll of my social media links are in my first post, and the 'contact me' tab! *clickity click now*

My March Favourites!

So I have been loving an awful lot of things in the month of March, but I haven't really found any new beauty products I'm in love with! But I managed to choose five 'things' I'd love your beautiful eyes to see!  This was a lot harder than I thought it would be though, seemingly I love an awful lot of things!

#1. The Gym:  In February I started going to my college's gym because it's free for students! I've always been kind of scared to use it because I felt like people were going to stare and judge, because I am in no way fit and I definitely don't have a stereotypical gym body! But I faced my fears and went (with my friends, not alone), and it was actually fun; extremely hard work at times, but fun! I have a feeling it's going to start to become a thing now... but it's a good thing! Healthy = Happy!  Don't forget it's not about your body shape or size, it's about being healthy; because I seem to forget that a lot! The fact that you're trying is all that matters at the gym!

#2. Penneys' (Primarks) Range Of Fitness Clothing: Speaking of exercise... Before I got into it a little bit more, I didn't really have any clothes that were gym worthy! And not knowing if I was going to stick with it, I didn't want to spend too much money on gym clothes! I was browsing Penneys one day and saw a beautiful fitness section! These clothes are honestly the most comfortable of my gym wear and amazing quality for their price! (Running Top: 7.00; Exercise leggings: 8.00)

#3. Smoothies: For the last few weeks I have been absolutely loving smoothies! They are so versatile, and so easy to make! I love getting up in the morning, throwing fruit into a blender, and having a smoothie in two minutes! I can't decide which kind I like the most though...; maybe I'll do a 'how-to' post on my all time favourites! What makes this even better, is that I just bought a new blender for making my smoothies in! I am so excited to try it and see how it lives up to the old one; I'll keep you updated!

#4. Glass Storage Jars: These are my two favourite jars at the moment! I have an obsession with storage tins and jars, and these are so cute! I got them in a shop called 'Carraig Donn' which we have here in Ireland! They're actually meant to be halloween jars, but for €3.50 I didn't care at all!
Not only do I love the actual jar though, I also love what I am keeping in them! First I have Penneys' facial cleansing pads, and honestly they're soo handy to have! I love using them to take off my make up, and they're quite cheap for how well they work!
In the second jar I decided to keep sherbert sticks that I got in Dealz for €1.49, because it was empty, and they honestly look the cutest! And I now have a lil snack if I ever feel like a pick me up during the day!

#5. Cloud10Beauty.com:  So this website is one of my personal favourites, I've bought many many things from there and I absolutely adore them all! The prices are really good, and they are always very speedy with their deliveries; I've never had to wait more than 4 working days for mine! They have such an amazing selection of products, that I literally can't go on without adding something to my basket! They also have quite a large of Irish products, which I adore, because I can buy amazing products while supporting Irish brands. If you don't know cloud10beauty.com yet... what? Get yourself over there now! I can't wait to share my latest haul from them with you!

It's April??

Can I please put out in the open how I am not ready for it to be April yet? Seeing as March is over now, April is going to be a whole new adventure (spent studying for exams), and I can't wait!

I've realised in the last two weeks, that this blogging thing is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be! I always had soo much free time up until now, but suddenly it's all gone!

I have at least 5 half-written post waiting to be finished so I can upload them! Please everyone tell me how you find the time to fit blogging into your everyday life!

To be honest I wouldn't be able to post today if my class hadn't been cut short and given me an extra hour free.  I love that I've found something I enjoy doing, and that I've got a chance to finally express all this make-up love as well as talk all about my little boring life!

Its just become clear to me how much I honestly love writing blog posts when I can take time to sit down and really think what I want to say... but I also love spontaneous blog posts like this, where I can just write(rant) about my life for a little while!

In more exciting news... I may or may not have just ordered quite a spectacular package from Cloud10Beauty.com (I did); it should be here very soon and then I get to try out everything and do a lil review on some of my new thangs! I haven't been this excited in quite a while

It's been lovely darlings... but I do have another class now!

My Fail Of A Study Week?

If you go back 2(?) posts, you'll see that I had a little study week last week! I also made soooo many plans for this week! Of which almost none happened! I had a feeling this would happen... of course my idea of motivation was procrastinating by writing a blog post on it! I had 3 little things I wanted to do:

1) Complete some of the work I have to do for college in the upcoming weeks
2) Take a trip down to the gym at least once so I don't go a week without, and workout at home on other days!
3) Finally organise my room so it's ready for when I have people over!

Well... looking back at them, I suppose I technically did everything I wanted to do... just in smaller amounts than were needed!

1) I did some work... I finished one lot of homework? And then put off the two assignments I now have due for next week! But.. I have started them now, so maybe this isn't too bad, because I know that I'm now on such a time limit! Here's to pure luck y'all...

2) The gym... Well I have to say that the gym honestly didn't happen!  But I did go for a walk one day.. that counts doesn't it? I also went shopping... and that involved a lot of walking, and carrying bags! I totally didn't do too bad at this one!

3) Now this one I really did try at! But you know when you don't have enough time in a day to finish something? Yeah.. that may have happened!
My room does this thing where it gets a lot worse before it gets better, so I spent a good 5/6 hours trying to completely re-do my room! It's not too bad at the moment if I'm honest... I'm quite proud of my work, even if it's not perfect just yet !

So maybe this week wasn't quite as much of a fail as I thought! Even though I didn't do everything I had planned properly... but I did have a good time, and I suppose that is one of the most important things right?

I suppose I'd better be off now and do all that college work yeah? Alright...

Sister Bonding Time

Yesterday (Sunday), I went to a lovely lunch with most of my family! We went to a little pub in my village, and I had the nicest curry I've had in a long time (which I forgot to take pictures of...). But not to worry... I took plenty of other pictures!

So because I have been on a study week from college and my sister had some school work to do, the two of us came home a bit early; and we of course procrastinated as much as we could!
I decided it was about time I took my 'big girl' camera out again, and started using it! So we spent an hour or so doing makeup and taking photos in our garden!

Here's some of the 'beautiful' images we finished the day with!!

This is me by the way! Hi! And this is what happens when I learn how to take selfies on big cameras!

This is my beautiful sister in her outfit for lunch! Posing for that camera!

These are my sister's boots; I am very jealous of her for having them! (€17 in Penneys!) They are just the cutest!!

This is them again! With her lace tights, also from Penneys! I adore the pictures these boots take!

This is the two of us taking a big camera selfie! Ahh I love the lil thing! <3

This last one is my sisters attempt at taking blog pictures; she didn't do too bad! To be fair I probably wasn't the easiest subject to shoot! I also lost the glasses for these.... so had no idea what she was doing!

Well that's all I've got to show from our lil shoot, but I hope this was kind of enjoyable, and It didn't bore too much!
I can't wait to fill you in on the going-ons of my study week!

A Whole Week Off!

Do you ever get the feeling that the time you have off work or college or school is about to be a huuuge waste? I have that feeling today... I've already had the weekend, Monday, and now Tuesday away from college, and I have accomplished pretty much nothing so far!

Can't lie... I have made about a hundred plans for this week, both study and social; but actually getting something done will be the real task! AND I've a feeling I'll be returning to college next week with just as many assignments as I have now, and even more friends to try and visit!

BUT... That is not how I want it to be! I am going to try my best and make this week a little more productive than my previous holidays! So I've made 3 lil plans for this week, and I figure if I write them down here I'll have a bit more motivation to carry these out!

So here they are!
1) Complete some of the work I have to do for college in the upcoming weeks
2) Take a trip down to the gym at least once so I don't go a week without, and workout at home on other days!
3) Finally organise my room so it's ready for when I have people over!

I know these might not sounds like the most difficult things to do, but they definitely aren't easy when I know I could just curl up on the couch with a book, or on my laptop!

So here I go, and I honestly can't wait to see what happens! I'm looking forward to writing a post about how it goes for next week; and I'm sure I'll have stories to share before that!

Beauty Haul Time

Ok I have a confession to make... I went a little bit crazy on Valentines Day when my favourite website had a sale for all us lovely single people! I got 20% off all of these products (thankfully), but I have included the original prices incase anyone is wondering!

I'll admit I made quite an impact on my card that day... But these are things I have been dying to try for a long time! So y'all have Cloud10Beauty to thank for this!

I have a slight obsession with EOS lipbalms thanks to watching youtubers, so I decided I NEEDED to buy myself another one (and three for my sister!) I got myself the pomegranate and raspberry flavour (€6.95), and I love it! I've always found these lip balms really moisturising as well as smelling and tasting amazing! I'll let you know my sisters opinion on hers when she gets them!

I also got the Sleek 'Au Naturel' eyeshadow palette (Originally €9.99) It has some beautiful earthy brown tones, as well as some beautiful pale and quite dark colours! I used it this weekend and I adored it; it lasts all night too! The pigmentation is amazing so I know this will last for a long time!

I always seem to have a bit of a problem with finding a powder that not only looks good, but that I can carry around with me all day! I'm trying out the Sleek Professional Finishing Powder (Usually €8.49), and so far I'm loving it! It sets my makeup perfectly but doesn't give too heavy a coverage! Powder always seems to make my skin extremely dry also, but thankfully this one hasn't so far!! The only problem I have with this powder is that because it's a loose powder, I seem to get it all over me when I'm doing my face; and I always tip out too much or not enough!

The last things I got were three Real Techniques brushes. I bought the Powder Brush, Stippling Brush, and Setting Brush!

I absolutely adore the Powder Brush (Normally €13.50) I couldn't resist it! Don't get me wrong, it is hella huge, but it holds product perfectly, and buffs powder into the skin with no problem!

The Stippling Brush (Usually €13.50) is the prettiest brush I own, and when you get the hang of it, it can apply your foundation so flawlessly! I can't lie, the first few times I tried it I had a few streaks and a bit of an uneven coverage, but after some practice I get it right almost every time! The only thing I don't like is that it takes time to use a stippling brush every day, so it might not be the best idea if you're always rushing!

This Setting Brush (Usually €8.50) is the sweetest little face brush I've ever seen! I still haven't decided exactly what I'm going to use it for, but at the moment it's being used to blend my concealer; and it's working quite well if I'm honest!

That was all I have for this lil haul/review! I hope this didn't bore you too much, and you should definitely try out some of these products!
